Reports of fresh cholera outbreaks in Zimbabwe are unsettling. First because the disease claimed at least 4000 lives when it first broke out last year. Secondly because of the hesitation that accompanied the reaction to the outbreak. Things should be different this time around. Already, five people are reported to have died of this fresh outbreak. We cannot afford to lose any more lives this way by understanding that getting rid of cholera actually is a collective effort which begins with YOU.
